Julien Jacquot

Julien Jacquot is an expert in economic development. With a Master of International Political Economy and a background of ten years in the development sector, he gained experience in the Palestinian Territories, Afghanistan, Indonesia and Cambodia. He has been part of the GERES team for 6 years, working as country director for GERES Afghanistan and Indonesia. Mr. Jacquot is currently the StovePlus  Program Manager and is based in Cambodia.

Judith Bel

Judith Bel joined the team in April 2015. She is an agronomist and engineer. She graduated from CNEARC (National Center of Agronomic Studies in Warm Areas) in Montpellier, France as an engineer specializing in rural development and tropical agronomy. Her professional background has allowed her to work with various NGOs and actors in the development sector and is a specialist in international cooperation. Over the course of her career, she has strengthened and reinforced her management skills and expertise in renewable energy. Judith has worked in Italy, India (with GERES), Niger and Togo. She is based in Senegal where she has been working for the last seven years.

Marina Dubois

Marina Dubois

Marina Dubois holds a Master in Management of development projects and has more than 10 years of experience in designing, implementing and evaluating programs for Non-Governmental Organizations. Over the years and throughout her experience working in entrepreneurship, health, protection and cooking energy, she specialized in partnership approach and community mobilization. She is an expert in Management, Capacity Building and Monitoring and Evaluation. Her academic experience and career path brought her to Australia, Burkina Faso, India and Nepal, and she has dedicated the last 7 years to work in the Philippines, Cambodia, Indonesia and Myanmar.

Yohanes Iwan Baskoro

Iwan Baskoro

Iwan Baskoro is a Mechanical Engineer and holds a Master of Political Science and Public Administration from the Universitas Terbuka in Jakarta, Indonesia.  He has been part of the GERES team since 1997 in Cambodia, and joined StovePlus  in 2012. Before his 17 years of work on cookstoves for the French NGO, Mr. Baskoro worked for the Indonesian NGO Yayasan Dian Desa in the same sector. During his career he has aquired extensive networks and experiences all throughout the Southeast Asia region, including Indonesia, Cambodia, Lao PDR, Vietnam, Myanmar and the Philippines. Today, as Lead Technical Advisor for StovePlus, he provides technical coaching and support to biomass energy development programs, including improved cookstoves, sustainable charcoal and sustainable forest management.

Biomass Energy and Combustion Specialist

David Béritault

David Béritault

With a background in thermal engineering, David Béritault specializes in biomass energy and technology testing and development. He began working with GERES Cambodia in 2008 on the characterization and optimization of improved charcoal kilns. His duties later expanded to include the establishment of GERES-Biomass Energy Laboratory (G-BEL) in Phnom Penh and work on biomass analysis, cookstove performance and emissions testing. As the head of the research and development unit of GERES Cambodia, David Béritault focused on improved biomass technology development, standardization and indoor air quality monitoring. David Béritault has accumulated 3 to 5 years’ experience in charcoal production, stove design and testing (laboratory and field conditions), biomass combustion and biomass analysis.

Babacar NDIAYE

Program Officer Senegal

Babacar holds a master’s degree in financial engineering from the ISM (Institut Superviseur de Management) and an advanced degree in management. He has been working for 9 years as administration officer for the NGO Village Pilote. His second experience is with ACF (Action Against Hunger), as accounting officer in the Dakar regional office. His interest for environmental and energy topics led him to join GERES in 2015.

Solida Khan

Solida Khan

Solida Khan graduated from the National University of Management in Phnom Penh with a diploma in Accounting and Master in Business Administrative. She joined the GERES team in August 2011 as an Administrative Assistant, to help, support and arrange the office events/workshops and coordinate them with the Admin Manager. She joined StovePlus  in March 2014 as a Program Officer and is based in Cambodia.
